Lower Calorie Banana Split
The original banana split was created in 1904, but with an average of 1,000 calories, it’s also very high in calories. However if you keep the portions realistic, and use non-fat frozen yoghurt in place of ice cream it allows you to indulge without the guilt.

- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 2/3 cup non-fat vanilla frozen yoghurt
- 2 tbsp Lite chocolate syrup
- 4 tbsp whipped topping
- 2 cherries for garnish
Method
Method
- Place half of the banana slices in the bottom of each dish.
- Top each with 1/3 cup of frozen yoghurt
- Then add 1 tablespoon each of chocolate syrup.
- Finish with with the whipped cream and top with a cherry.
